[image] Welcome back to Radfem Book Club for April, or hello if it’s your first time joining us! 📖 ‼️This is a book club where we will be reading radical feminist texts. We want ANYONE to join in, regardless of the specific type of feminism they ascribe to.

[image] Started reading! I think Dworkin gets to the heart of the "free speech" argument - women's suffering is abstract rather than something that happens to real people

[image] Dworkin makes a good point, the values of rape culture have existed for centuries & set the precedent for pornography today Pornography, Chp 5

[image] It's so important to recognize how the intersection of racism & misogyny leads to the torture of racial/ethnic minority women Pornography, Chp. 5

[image] So feminists have always dealt with these feelings: “there is no help for any of us, let us be dumb and die!!” It’s all just so frustrating sometimes. Seeing Dworkin confront that and “remove the curse” is really inspiring. Like wow we really do have to continue her work
